As society’s appetite for wireless devices increases, system operators are installing more towers, monopoles and micro-sites than ever before. In order for these sites to operate efficiently they must undergo regular maintenance, especially for system components that are exposed to the elements such as towers, antennas, cables, lights, and clamps. JAG RF provides full tower inspection and maintenance service. We can inspect towers for wear and possible stress fractures as well as look for advance stages of corrosion that could compromise structural integrity. JAG RF provides full FAA/FCC and Transport Canada tower lighting maintenance such as strobe and obstruction light bulb replacement and power cable inspection. We can also methodically document all antenna heights and critical measurements, types of clamps and orientation such as azimuth and elevation, and much more. The data collected can be presented in a formal engineering document or how the customer sees fit. |

If a given tower is determined to be an aeronautical obstruction by Transport Canada or the FAA/FCC, then it must be painted and lit according to regulation. JAG RF provides tower painting service and uses only tower grade paint and colours approved by Transport Canada or the FAA. JAG RF can paint many types of antenna structures from lattice towers, to monopoles to radomes like the ones found at airports and on the CN Tower. |

Site maintenance also requires periodic inspections of equipment shelters to ensure climate conditions for equipment is adequate and that cooling fans are unobstructed. We also run sweeps on coaxial runs and confirm filter tuning if required. Site maintenance could also entail that the equipment shelter and surrounding area is clean and clear of unnecessary debris and that cables are bundled and properly labeled. We also do inspections of the RF site’s grounding system and ensure no copper wire has been cut or illegally removed thus leaving the site vulnerable to lightening strikes. JAG RF ensures that ground bus systems are inspected inside the shelter as well as AC and DC lines. |
