JAG RF can provide R&D service for a range of product assurance or development needs. For instance, JAG RF can conduct power tests on filters and document the results or we can conduct waveguide and coaxial power tests and make recommendations. We can look at different techniques at solving matching problems whether they are for broadband transformers or antenna feeders. Test can be conducted on RF amplifiers and then recommendations can be made on how to improve noise generation and related issues. If you require antenna testing or product improvements, JAG RF can help. We have a range of tools to help us diagnose potential problems with antennas such as PIM production. We can run prolonged power tests to check for long term high power reliability and if components fail, we can makes the appropriate recommendations to rectify the problem. JAG RF can calibrate VHF and UHF antennas and make gain measurements and plot antenna patterns as well as conduct 1.8 – 6 GHz measurements in our chamber. We can also provide antenna prototyping service from substrates to folded dipole to collinear designs. |

JAG RF can make products improvements by optimizing filters and related systems. As an example, the isolator pictured to the left needed to be frequency shifted. Simply changing the capacitance and inductance values was not sufficient. Only after experimentation, was it determined that by introducing specific alloys, plastics and polymers was it possible to shift the resonant frequency significantly enough that it could work in another band. Power tests were conducted to make sure internal components did not fail. Probes monitored any changes the temperature caused in the tuning. |
